Moruya Waterfront Hotel Motel is proudly operated by Linda and Mark Ethell.  Having spent many years in the corporate world, Linda and Mark made a sea change in 2015 and they haven't looked back!

 

They have immersed themselves in the local community and are working towards upgrading the Hotel and Motel to meet and exceed guest requirements.

 

Mark is espcially passionate about music and has spent  time and energy building up the local music scene.  He is proud to support local bands/artists and provide a platform for them to play their music and hone their skills.  Whilst at the same time he has attracted well known artists to perform at the hotel for locals to enjoy.

 

They took advantage of the COVID 19 lockdown in mid 2020 to renovate the main bar.  It is now modern and provides a beautiful background for people to socialise and celebrate lifes events.  Landscaping has begun on the gorgeous beer garden lining the Moruya River - but it is hard improve something when the view is so good!

They are next focusing on the accomodation rooms.  They have already updated all of the linen in all of the rooms and they are in the process of replacing all the air conditioing units so they are efficeint and better for the environment.  They'll be bringing out the paint brushes soon!

They are keen to be building and maintaining a sustainable business both in terms of their impact on the environment and their ability to thrive throughout all seasons. To date they have installed solar electricity to as much roof space as possible, replaced air conditioners with more efficient units, stopped using plastic straws and they use recyclable takeaway containers in the bistro.  They also give all of the bottles and cans to a local resident who in turn gives the 10c for each item processed in return and earn to  family in need in Bali.

 

They love Moruya and the location that the Moruya Waterfront Hotel Motel holds on the banks of the Moruya River.
